Fletcher Friday Report: September 25, 2026

Fletcher had another good week, and I still have my doubts.

Welcome to another Fletcher Friday Report. Every Friday, I compare Fletcher's performance against the S&P 500 index. I like what I'm seeing this week. How about you? Let's dig in.

Confessions of a Doubter

Fletcher's next signals arrive next week, on October 1st. Before they do, I want to share a little about my own doubts, because I often question the signals. The September 1st signals are a perfect example.

One stock in particular stood out to me. My biggest worry with Fletcher is whipsawing. Fletcher is prone to quick gains and quick losses — lots of volatility and lots of momentum. The signal I was nervous about had just posted a big run. This stock had seen some crazy upward movement recently, and I figured it had already had its day in the spotlight.

I followed the Fletcher signal anyway.

That stock I was worried about? It's up 32% since September 1st.

Sticking with the Plan

So what does that mean for you and me? For me, it means I'm emotional. I'll admit it. I just need to stick with the plan. Fletcher has already done the work. The numbers show why.

By the Numbers

We keep expecting the historical September slump, and Fletcher keeps shrugging it off. I'm perfectly fine with that. No slump here.

Spoiler alert: Fletcher is at 204% for the year. Here's the full picture:

  • This week: Since last Friday, Fletcher is up 8%, and the S&P is up a little over 1%.
  • September: Since September 1, Fletcher is up 25%, and the S&P is up about 1.5%.
  • Year to date: Fletcher is up 204%, and the S&P is up about 13%.

Fletcher's goal is to outperform the S&P, not by a little, but by a lot. I'd say 204 versus 13 qualifies as a lot. Nice work, Fletcher.

A Tribute to Dolly Parton

Before I wrap up, I'd like to acknowledge Dolly Parton. With her recent passing, her positive impact on our community is something worth celebrating here in Nashville.

Today, September 25th — or 9/25 — has become a sort of ode to her, a nod to 9 to 5, the movie she co-starred in back in the '80s. It's a funny movie. My wife and I actually rewatched it a couple of weeks ago.

So on this 9/25, I want to recognize Dolly Parton for everything she gave to our community, both here locally and across Tennessee. She was a very special person.

Until Next Week

Happy Friday, and thanks for reading. I'll be back next week with more updates from Fletcher. Have a great week!
